Last updated: Draft — pilot phase
Learnara is in its pilot phase. This page is a placeholder draft and has not yet been reviewed by legal counsel — it is not a binding agreement. It will be replaced with a reviewed version before any school’s student data is processed at scale.
Overview
Learnara provides an academic intelligence platform to schools. This policy explains, in draft form, what data we expect to handle and how — it will be finalized with legal counsel before any school’s data is processed beyond a pilot.
Information we handle
Question papers, rubrics, and scanned answer scripts provided by a partner school; teacher review decisions and overrides; basic school and staff contact details for onboarding and communication.
Schools remain the data controller
For student academic data, the school is the data controller and Learnara acts as a processor acting on the school’s instructions. Schools are responsible for any parental notice or consent required under applicable law before sharing student data with us.
How data is used
Solely to perform the evaluation and generate the student, class/section, and school leadership reports described in a pilot agreement — and, with a school’s permission, to improve the accuracy of the evaluation system.
Data sharing
We do not sell student data. Data is shared only with the school that provided it, and with infrastructure providers strictly necessary to operate the service.
Retention and security
Retention periods and security measures for a specific engagement are agreed with each school directly and will be documented here in full before general availability.
